  2. *PRICE DROP!!* USED Taylor XXXV-GS-W 35th Anniversary Limited Edition

    Regular Price: $4,700.00

    Special Price $3,750.00

How about that model number? Is that cool or what? All you need to know about this fine guitar is within in this rather cryptic number. A special number for a special guitar. It is a 35th Anniversery, Grand Symphony, with Walnut back & sides. This is a fine, fine, super-fine guitar. The walnut back is absolutely spectacular. We've never seen walnut that looks better then this...it's absolutely jaw dropping. One of a limited edition of only 35 guitars. It has a sharp, Florentine cutaway, the best Gotoh 510 tuners, ebony fingerboard with 35 inlaid at the 12th fret, and a walnut backstrap overlay on the back of the headstock. The edge bevel on the bass side of this guitar's lower bout is gorgeous; inspired in part by the work of renowned luthier Grit Laskin.

This is what Taylor has to say about it:  "This Taylor guitar showcases walnut wood for the back and sides, offering warm, deep tone, balanced projection, and clarity, in a stunningly complex appearance. The wood set was specially selected for its unique aesthetic qualities, making for an extremely limited run. The Taylor XXXV-GS-W acoustic-electric guitar also features a Sitka spruce top with Taylor's tone-enhancing CV bracing, an abalone rosette, Gotoh tuners, a bone nut and saddle, and the Expression System pickup. The Taylor guitar includes an ebony armrest, ebony binding, and a Florentine cutaway".

  3. Taylor 314ce LTD - Lutz Spruce/Tasmanian Blackwood #7071
    $1,999.00

Tasmanian blackwood continues to grow in popularity as more players discover its musical strengths: strong projection, a warm and focused midrange, and top-end sparkle. Normally we pair blackwood back and sides with a mahogany top within our 300 Series, but for this limited edition cutaway Grand Auditorium, we've swapped mahogany for Lutz spruce, whose properties lend a dynamic boost to the overall acoustic output. Together, the woods find a musical sweet spot in the middle of the tonal spectrum, which gives the guitar an especially lively and engaging personality. Featured appointments include faux tortoise shell for the binding, rosette and pickguard, the return of our “Twisted Ovals” fretboard inlay scheme, and vibrant abalone-dotted bridge pins that add a pop of color against the ebony bridge. The guitar comes equipped with our clear-sounding ES2 acoustic electronics and ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.

  5. Taylor 514ce Japan Limited Prototype Acoustic Electric
    $2,599.00

Okay, you and your buddies are talking guitars, 'cause guitar players love to talk about their guitars. One buddy says, "My Taylor is really cool, it's an early model". Because you're a nice guy, you say, "Man, that's cool"; then casually mention, "Mine is a prototype". Dead silence...the guy is completely shut down. With any luck at all, he'll go into an alcoholic tailspin, and you'll never have to look at him again. Well, that may be a bit harsh, but he probably deserved it. Here's the deal, Taylor made this guitar in the USA as a prototype for a limited edition run that was sold to the Japanese market exclusively. It is a Taylor 514CE Japan Limited, but with a few different aesthetics from the ones made for the USA market - most notably a satin finish and dot inlays. The back and sides are tropical mahogany, and the top is Western Red Cedar. It has the new Expression 2 pickup system. It's new, from the factory, and comes with full warranty. It sounds great, looks great, and has that little extra bump of coolness because it's a prototype. It's doubtful you'll find another one like this in the USA. Let your buddy stew on that!

  6. Taylor 714ce Roadshow LTD Koa/Torrefied Spruce
    $3,495.00

Until now, torrefied spruce tops have been reserved for Taylor's maple 600 series, so this limited edition 714ce Koa/torrefied Sitka spruce beauty serves up a unique treat in both look and sound.

Now, all of you Taylor aficionados may think you know all about this guitar, but you folks need to rethink the norm! So...where shall I begin? Let's start with the front view of this instrument. Yes, it is sitka spruce. But, torrefied sitka spruce. So, you top-off the aged look of the torrefied top with a very tasteful Western shaded sunburst. Now this is something special. The ebony fretboard does indeed have some of the variegation unique to each of these 714ce Ltd guitars. This unique look to each fretboard comes as a result of Taylor's ecologically sound decision to use "imperfect" ebony for fretboards. I feel that this uniqueness to each fretboard is one of the attractions. The nice colorful paua rosette and the pearl Century fretboard inlays, along with the abalone dotted ebony bridge pins all leave you with a first impression that you can't forget. But that is just the top! This Grand Auditorium cutaway guitar has a back and sides of gorgeous Hawaiian koa, normally reserved for Taylor's legendary Koa Series. Big, wide grain, colorful and straight. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice that the back is of three pieces. Koa has a natural sounding midrange and singing bright trebles. When you couple those qualities with the played-in vibe from the torrefied spruce-soundboard, you end up with a smooth, warm and responsive sound and feel. Taylor is making a very limited run of these guitars that will only be available for their Roadshow presentations. At our very recent Roadshow event, this guitar was THE standout over all of the guitars brought in for the show, and there was indeed plenty of competition! Nice hardshell case, the latest ES2 electronics. There is certainly a lot to love about this fine instrument!

  7. Taylor 416ce-LTD - Cedar/Walnut #6038
    $2,399.00

This limited edition walnut/cedar Grand Symphony boasts a big, warm, responsive voice. Walnut blends the dry tonal character of mahogany with maple’s player-reflective attributes. Combined with the touch sensitivity and warmth of a cedar top, players can expect a quick response with a huge range of tonal colors. Fingerstylists, players who use Celtic tunings, and anyone craving a big response from a light touch will love this guitar. Strummers will find that the guitar responds best with a slightly softer attack yet still produces plenty of sonic power and dynamic range thanks to the bigger GS body and Taylor’s Performance bracing. Visually, the walnut back blends color variegation, bold grain structure, and bookmatched figure, while a figured maple mini wedge adds visual contrast. Maple is also featured for the neck, binding and rosette. The fretboard inlay is a laser-engraved Italian acrylic Victorian design. Additional features include a Venetian cutaway and our onboard Expression System 2 electronics.
