Like its standard-model sibling in the 600 Series, this Grand Auditorium boasts back and sides of solid figured Big Leaf maple paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, yielding a played-in sound with an extra dash of power and sustain coaxed out by the V-Class bracing architecture inside. Offering a warmer character than most maple guitars thanks to voicing touches developed by master guitar designer Andy Powers, the 614ce Special Edition responds differently to each player’s individual technique and style, letting musicians create a signature sound that’s all their own.
