  4. Taylor 514ce Japan Limited Prototype Acoustic Electric
    $2,599.00

Okay, you and your buddies are talking guitars, 'cause guitar players love to talk about their guitars. One buddy says, "My Taylor is really cool, it's an early model". Because you're a nice guy, you say, "Man, that's cool"; then casually mention, "Mine is a prototype". Dead silence...the guy is completely shut down. With any luck at all, he'll go into an alcoholic tailspin, and you'll never have to look at him again. Well, that may be a bit harsh, but he probably deserved it. Here's the deal, Taylor made this guitar in the USA as a prototype for a limited edition run that was sold to the Japanese market exclusively. It is a Taylor 514CE Japan Limited, but with a few different aesthetics from the ones made for the USA market - most notably a satin finish and dot inlays. The back and sides are tropical mahogany, and the top is Western Red Cedar. It has the new Expression 2 pickup system. It's new, from the factory, and comes with full warranty. It sounds great, looks great, and has that little extra bump of coolness because it's a prototype. It's doubtful you'll find another one like this in the USA. Let your buddy stew on that!

  5. Taylor 714ce - Lutz Spruce/Indian Rosewood #7076
    $2,999.00

The 714ce sports Taylor’s popular and versatile Grand Auditorium body style and incorporates a compelling alternate take on the classic rosewood/spruce pairing, featuring Lutz spruce rather than Sitka. Together with Taylor’s Performance bracing and tone-enhancing protein glues, players can expect a bold and dynamic voice that balances rosewood’s natural overtone sparkle with a strong fundamental focus, giving this and other 700 Series guitars a rootsy musical personality with expansive musical range. That musical character is matched by an aesthetic that’s grounded in Americana style and refined with Taylor’s precision-crafted details. Rosewood’s mocha complexion is complemented with wood-rich trim, featuring Hawaiian koa binding, a herringbone-style rosette of Douglas fir with maple/black accents, bias-cut Douglas fir top trim, and a “weathered brown” pickguard design with a pattern reminiscent of leather. Modern playing amenities include a Venetian cutaway and Taylor’s stage-ready ES2 pickup and preamp.

  7. Taylor 714ce Roadshow LTD Koa/Torrefied Spruce
    $3,495.00

Until now, torrefied spruce tops have been reserved for Taylor's maple 600 series, so this limited edition 714ce Koa/torrefied Sitka spruce beauty serves up a unique treat in both look and sound.

Now, all of you Taylor aficionados may think you know all about this guitar, but you folks need to rethink the norm! So...where shall I begin? Let's start with the front view of this instrument. Yes, it is sitka spruce. But, torrefied sitka spruce. So, you top-off the aged look of the torrefied top with a very tasteful Western shaded sunburst. Now this is something special. The ebony fretboard does indeed have some of the variegation unique to each of these 714ce Ltd guitars. This unique look to each fretboard comes as a result of Taylor's ecologically sound decision to use "imperfect" ebony for fretboards. I feel that this uniqueness to each fretboard is one of the attractions. The nice colorful paua rosette and the pearl Century fretboard inlays, along with the abalone dotted ebony bridge pins all leave you with a first impression that you can't forget. But that is just the top! This Grand Auditorium cutaway guitar has a back and sides of gorgeous Hawaiian koa, normally reserved for Taylor's legendary Koa Series. Big, wide grain, colorful and straight. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice that the back is of three pieces. Koa has a natural sounding midrange and singing bright trebles. When you couple those qualities with the played-in vibe from the torrefied spruce-soundboard, you end up with a smooth, warm and responsive sound and feel. Taylor is making a very limited run of these guitars that will only be available for their Roadshow presentations. At our very recent Roadshow event, this guitar was THE standout over all of the guitars brought in for the show, and there was indeed plenty of competition! Nice hardshell case, the latest ES2 electronics. There is certainly a lot to love about this fine instrument!

  8. Pre-Owned Taylor 756 12-String
    $2,600.00

The concept of a used instrument in "mint condition" is usually a myth but this Taylor 756 is as close to mint as you will ever find. We've examined it very carefully and it's hard to believe it didn't come to us directly from Taylor! Saying it is "pre-owned" would be more accurate as this guitar shows absolutely no wear. There are no dings, nicks, scratches, or scuffs anywhere to be found. It was special ordered by one of our regular customers and after having it at his home for a couple of months he has found that 12 string guitar is just not his thing. His loss can be your gain. This is a truly fine instrument. It sounds fantastic and plays like a dream. Strum one chord on it and you'll notice it has a richer, more vibrant voice than ever before thanks to the customized performance bracing. Taylor went back to the drawing board and redesigned their bracing patterns to get the optimum response out of each of their iconic body shapes. Taylor even added side bracing to add rigidity to the sides and enhance top and back movement. Comes with the original hardshell case.

    Regular Price: $798.00

    Special Price $599.00

This Dreadnought distills the essential features of a great acoustic guitar into a budget-friendly form. The patented Taylor neck features a slightly shorter 24-7/8-inch scale length, 1-11/16-inch nut width, and light gauge strings, which make fretting and bending strings easier. Tonally the Dreadnought’s body dimensions produce a bold response with a warm low end and punchy treble, making this a great option for strummers and flatpickers. 12. Taylor 416ce Baritone - Sitka Spruce/Ovangkol #2081

    Regular Price: $2,798.00

    Special Price $1,876.00

The Taylor 416ce Baritone takes advantage of ovangkol’s full midrange and bright top end. Though slightly less dense than most rosewoods, ovangkol shares much of rosewood’s clarity and fidelity. This pairs well with Taylor's baritone design, producing a deep voice with rosewood-like richness and clear note definition. The baritone’s lower B tuning, coupled with a 27-inch scale length, make it possible to generate tonal depth with normal string tension, giving players a familiar playing experience. It’s a great choice if you have a lower vocal range or favor a de-tuned guitar sound.
