  4. USED Fender 1983 American Precision Bass Elite II Three Color Sunburst
    $1,600.00

The Fender Precision Bass has been offered in a myriad of models in its nearly 70 years of existence, including a number of "reissues". One of the coolest variants was the Elite II, which was introduced in mid-1983, and was only made for two years (1983 - 1984). This particular Elite II bass is an early one, made in 1983 at Fender's factory in California. This was Fender's high-end line of the time, and their second attempt at an active bass. The Elite II has two split humbucking pickups with an active preamp and a normal (passive) tone control. The high-mass chrome Schaller bridge is missing the fine tuners but works just fine without them. The output jack is mounted on the side of the body. It has Schaller deluxe tuners and Schaller strap locks. It has overall signs of play wear and surface wear consistent with an instrument that's nearly 40 years old. The worst of the wear being dents and finish loss along the lower bout of the body -  see photos for details. The frets are in great shape and have many years of life in them. The neck is nice and straight with very comfortable, low action and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition. Comes with a tweed hardshell case.
