  1. Paul Reed Smith Silver Sky - Maple Board - Tungsten #5480
    $2,299.00

The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. More than two and half years in the making, the Silver Sky is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once familiar but also newly PRS through and through. This model was based off of Mayer and Smith's favorite elements from 1963 and 1964 vintage instruments, resulting in an idealized version of a vintage single-coil guitar. The attention that was paid to every detail sets this guitar apart.
Some of the more distinctive specifications include, the headstock shape, tuners, neck and fretboard, bridge, and pickups and electronics. The headstock shape is based on PRS's trademark design, but inverted to both accommodate Mayer's playing style and also to keep a consistent length of string behind the nut, which makes staying in tune easier. The tuners are a traditional vintage-style, closed-back tuner, but with PRS's locking design. The neck shape was modeled after 1963/1964 vintage instruments, and the fretboard has a 7.25" radius. The moment your hand grabs this neck, it just feels right. Like the tuners, the steel tremolo takes a classic design and incorporates PRS's trem arm and Gen III knife-edge screws. The bridge on the Silver Sky is setup flush to the body in the neutral position so that the tremolo bridge only goes down in pitch. By keeping the bridge in contact with the body, the guitar itself is acoustically louder, which improves the signal to noise ratio of the single-coil pickups. The 635JM single-coil pickups are very round and full, with a musical high end that is never "ice-picky" or brash.
Other high-quality specifications include a bone nut, a molded metal jack plate that is curved and makes plugging and unplugging a guitar cable hassle-free, retooled knobs, fretwire that is slightly smaller than what you'd find on most PRS electric guitars, and PRS's double action truss rod (accessible from the front of the headstock for ease of use).

  9. USED 2015 Froggy Bottom H-12 Deluxe AAAA Madagascar Rosewood/Adirondack
    $9,000.00

Here's a stunning Froggy Bottom H-12 Deluxe. The guitar was shipped on Oct. 12, 2015. It features AAAA Madagascar Rosewood back and sides with an Adirondack Spruce top. All the specs are normal with the only option added being Koa body binding. Retail price at time of sale was $13,410. This H-12 shows almost no signs of play and there are no flaws of any significance. The frets are perfect and show no wear. It comes in a Main Stage hardshell case, vey similar to a Calton case, but not quite as heavy. I've seen "new" guitars that show more wear than this instrument.
The H12 is the most popular Froggy Bottom model and it's easy to feel and hear why. This guitar has spectacular tonal balance and would be an excellent choice for fingerstyle. Strum this guitar and you get a big, lush tone that is seemingly unique to Froggy acoustics. The narrow waist and slightly shorter scale means it feels and plays like a smaller guitar, but at the same time sounds bigger than it is. The playability is superb with 12th fret string heights of .090" at the bass side and .070" at the treble side. This guitar is extremely responsive to your level of play so it lets you be expressive, whether using flat pick or fingers.
‚Äč  Get yourself a guitar for a lifetime with this Froggy H-12. You will be very glad you did!

  10. USED 1961 Gibson Johnny Smith Hollowbody Archtop Sunburst
    $12,000.00

First year production 1961 Gibson Johnny Smith model arch top. Introduced in 1961, the Gibson Johnny Smith Model represented the pinnacle of Smith's design creativity. It is an instrument that married classic body styling with unprecedented technical innovation. Six decades later, it's hard to envision a time when the only floating pickups available were the DeArmond or the McCarty pickguard pickup. The Johnny Smith debuted the world's first floating humbucking pickup, now the industry standard. Taking inspiration from the past as well as the future, Smith resurrected the classic X-braced top, a design used by Gibson in the 1930's. With it's increased sustain and warm, throaty tone, the X-brace has become favored as well among contemporary archtop builders from Benedetto and on. When you hear this guitar you will know why...it sounds amazing! Only 198 Johnny Smith model guitars were shipped between 1961 and 1965.
The electronics have been gone over, cleaned, and all is working perfectly. The pot shield is completely intact. The 1/8" input jack has been replaced. The frets have just been expertly replaced and a polished bone nut has been installed. It has been professionally set up, it plays and sounds so incredibly well. It comes with the original frets and bone nut, guitar cable, and original deluxe arched black Gibson hardshell case, with gold plush lining.

The OO is a guitar shape that was first designed around the time of the Civil War. Its dimensions are similar to a typical classical guitar, with a slotted headstock and small pyramid bridge. The comfortable size and timeless appearance of the Collings 00 is matched by the ease of playing a wide neck and shorter string scale affords.
