  4. Paul Reed Smith McCarty Soapbar 594 - One-Piece-Top - Faded Whale Smokewrap Burst #6712
    $3,789.00

Featuring an amazing one-piece figured maple top, and a Faded Whale Blue Smokewrap Burst finish.

PRS Guitars is proud to offer the acclaimed McCarty 594 and McCarty Singlecut 594 with PRS/Seymour Duncan Soapbar pickups. McCarty 594 models were designed to rival the best vintage instruments, meticulously spec’d with a 24.594” scale length, Pattern Vintage neck carve, tweaked Phase III locking tuners with modified collars and set screws, and a two-piece zinc bridge. Soapbars are one of the most classic pickup designs and add another tonal option for players that is at once incredibly familiar and effortlessly playable.

For this PRS/Seymour Duncan collaboration, we started with the Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90 for its sweet, vintage growl and cool, gritty sparkle. However, we modified the pickup slightly so it sits at the proper height in our cavity design. Like with original Antiquity pickups, chords sound full and round, while single notes sing sweetly. A relatively low output pickup, these soapbars have a many usable voicings by simply adjusting your volume and tone controls.

  7. USED 1985 Taylor 710 Lemon Grove Dreadnought Sitka Rosewood
    $1,595.00

1985 doesn't seem like it was 33 years ago. When you say something happened in 1990 my mind thinks of that as being just 10 years ago. Time sure does fly. Most Taylor aficionados will consider this 710, built in 1985, a vintage model. Made in the original Lemon Grove factory, Taylor only made 681 guitars in 1985. Vintage Taylors are known for having plenty of volume and this one lives up to this reputation with ease. Easy to play and light as a feather, it could fill a large room with minimal effort from the player. Frets are in near-perfect condition. Overall a well seasoned, fantastic instrument that has opened up beautifully in its 33 years. In great condition, with the typical cosmetic wear you'd expect. No repairs, no separations, and no issues. Passive Thinline under saddle pickup. The pickguard has been replaced with a new one, and the original one will be included inside the case. Just recently set up with Elixir 16102 phosphor bronze medium string. It is ready to go.

  8. HOLD - USED Paul Reed Smith McCarty Hollowbody Spruce Seafoam Green RARE Color
    $2,300.00

Among the many perks of this job is being able to see guitars that are one-of-a-kind. That's really cool. Here we have a 2008 PRS McCarty that we sold originally, and was special-ordered for one of our customers. This is a hollow body instrument, and it weighs nothing. It gives new meaning to the term, "feather weight", coming in at a mere 4.95 pounds. Oh, it's seafoam green too, so there's that. Okay, let's see if you are still with me: a PRS McCarty Hollowbody Spruce with a Seafoam Green Finish, it doesn't get much cooler that that, right? Carved mahogany body, carved spruce top, mahogany neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard, moon inlays, and pearloid buttons. This was sold to a collector, and it's in near-mint condition. The neck is straight and true. The frets are in perfect condition. It one of the coolest PRS models we've seen, and trust me, we have seen a few. This guitar sounds fantastic and plays like a dream. It's EXTREMELY loud and resonant. It's just super cool. Comes with original hard case.

  9. Paul Reed Smith Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24 1-of-40 MINT
    $3,995.00

I love it when different genres merge together and form something unique and cool. This beautiful guitar was inspired by the great Alfred Hitchcock movie, "The Birds". So, film-music and wonderful craftmenship have joined together to create this beautiful instrument. It is a 2009 PRS Limited Edition Bodega Bay model with a Birdseye maple top that looks like the birds flying over Bodega Bay.  Poor Tippi Hendren was driven to the brink of a nervous breakdown during the making of "The Birds". She suffered dearly, so the least you can do is buy this guitar. It was owned by a collector. We sold this originally, and the original owner picked it out of three other Bodega Bay models we had just received. This one had the very best top. It is in 100% mint condition. It was never played! You'll never find another in as perfect condition.

    Specs:
    -Violin amber finish
    -Limited edition of 40
    -Figured birdseye maple Top
    -24-fret standard neck, 10" radius

  10. USED Vintage 1960 Gibson J-45 Acoustic
    $4,500.00

This is my favorite guitar in the whole world. That's a pretty bold statement I know, but I'm in love with vintage Gibson J-45 guitars. I especially love tobacco sunburst, adjustable bridge J-45 guitars. Here we have a 1960 Gibson J-45 ADJ in tobacco sunburst, ceramic adjustable bridge with a newer, non-original chipboard case. Serial number #R5835-19. It's a one-owner guitar, and it's been played a lot. There is pickwear around the soundhole, and pickguard cracks. That's fairly standard for models from this era. The original owner put his initials with mailbox letter on the headstock and front of the guitar. They are small and unobtrusive, I would leave them there, It adds character and history in my humble opinion, but they can be removed. The neck has a 1-11/16" nut width. The bridge has a slight lift at the edges on the treble and bass sides...it hasn't moved in 30 years, so it should be fine for many more years to come. The overall condition is very good. Some nicks, dings and scratches, and some pick wear, as mentioned earlier. Action is a respectable .100" at the 12th frets of the low E string and .070" at the 12th fret of the high E string. This is a solid, well loved guitar that sounds like a million dollars. It's awesome, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. To find a one-owner vintage guitar doesn't happen that often these days. The gentleman we got it from is 96, and he bought it new. That is so cool.

  11. USED 1999 Gibson Hummingbird Custom Koa RARE Cherry Sunburst
    $4,250.00

Do you like fancy guitars? I sure do. I always think of them as cowboy guitars for some reason or another. I remember watching reruns of old Gene Autry movies and being blown away by the guitars. Then in the 60's we had country music every Saturday here in Memphis on TV. The guitars were mind blowing. Now this is a fancy guitar: a 1999 Gibson Hummingbird Custom Koa. Lord, Lord, it's an eyecatcher. Made by Gibson in 1999 in Bozeman, Montana. Gibson's famous Hummingbird has been masterfully recreated with abalone rosette and top binding, hand-engraved iconic birds and butterflies on the headstock and bridge, Sitka Spruce top, and beautiful AAA Koa back and sides. This one has a cherry sunburst...a rare option for this Koa version. It also features gold Grover engraved tuners, and ebony fingerboard with Orpheum-style abalone inlays. Much of the Hummingbird’s appeal lies in its versatility. However you attack this thing, it pumps out rich, deep tones, and is equally at home strumming those first-position chords as it is taking the spotlight for flatpicking lead lines. The tonewood combination of spruce and koa allow for a clear and balanced sound. It's very clean, shows very, minimal playing wear. Some finishing checking on the top. Some button wear on the back. The neck is straight and true. Action is low and fast. The frets are in near perfect condition showing only the slightest hints of being played. The neck is perfect with a 1-11/16" width nut. Besides being a stunner, it is amazing sounding. Comes with original hard case.
