If you like dead spots on a bass, then sadly, this is not the bass for you. This bass has no dead spots, and never will. Sustains for days and plays like a dream. We are offering a 2001 Modulus VJ4 four-string bass. This is a monster, pure and simple. It has Bartolini pickups, a Fender Jazz Bass style body, Jazz bass style wiring. It sounds great...really, that's no hype. If you're a stickler for intonation and tuning, you will be so happy. It's in great condition. The frets have no indentations and show only the very slightest hints of wear. The body is in great condition showing minor surface wear. The sunburst finish is gorgeous. This a serious bass. Phil Lesh of the Dead played Modulus, as did their guitar player, Bob Weir. It's the bomb. Modulus is no longer in business - meaning to me, this bass has the potential to become collectible, and with any luck, go up in value. Comes with original, hard case.
