Availability: In stock

Here's a Gibson 60th Anniversary 1960 Les Paul Standard in Iced Tea Sunburst finish, over a gorgeous highly figured flamed maple top. Made in 2020, it has one of the best looking tops we've seen on a Les Paul in a long time. The top was hand selected at Gibson's Custom Shop and has lots of depth and 3D movement in the flame. This is everything you'd want in a Les Paul: looks, tone, and sound. The frets are in perfect condition. The action is low and comfortable. Not only does it sound great plugged in (the unpotted Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers are fantastic), it's an extremely loud and resonant guitar when played unplugged (which is always the sign of a superior instrument). Overall it's in excellent condition with the only blemishes worth mentioning being a tiny scratch and small bump on the top near the edge of the center seam. Please refer to the photos.
Comes with hangtags, original hardshell case, 60th Anniversary switch plate, and Certificate of Authenticity.

Description

Details

This limited-edition 60th Anniversary model celebrates the iconic 1960 Les Paul Standard, which has shaped music across genres for six decades. The artisans at Gibson Custom Shop have proudly recreated the experience of owning a priceless original thanks to painstaking attention to detail and tireless study of vintage examples, closely following the three distinct versions seen within 1960. Those made in the first third of the year (V1) had the same specs as 1959 models, while the middle third (V2) had thinner neck profiles, different knobs and brighter colors. The final third (V3) featured even thinner neck profiles. This guitar has the V3 neck. It measures .816" at the 1st fret to .897" at the 12th.
