Here's a USA made Dobro Model 60D Square Neck dating to 1976. This is a great sounding Dobro. Featuring a bound all-laminate maple body in a tobacco sunburst finish, 12-fret gloss finished unbound square neck w/ rosewood fingerboard and dot position markers, two upper-bout screen holes, and slotted peghead. This example is in good condition with mild wear present, finish swirls and dings, a crack in the rim at the input jacks, and a crack in the headstock. Inside, a powerful cone provides a fulfilling resonating platform for all the swirling squareneck riffs you could dream up, from Bluegrass, to Blues. Not only is this a great sounding resonator, it has very cool provenance: it was previously owned by Hank DeVito, a fantastic slide guitarist who played it while on tour with Emmylou Harris in the Hot Band, and also in the studio on Guy Clark's "Better Days" album. Hank installed a magnetic pickup and lavalier mic. The lavalier is not functional currently. He would run the magnetic pickup through an amp to use as a stage monitor, and run the lavalier direct to the board. Comes with the hardshell case and a letter from Hank Devito himself.
