The original Moog active preamp has been removed, and the wiring has been updated to a standard Gibson setup: two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way toggle switch. We do not have the original preamp. The two mini toggle switches are on the guitar, but they are not wired-up and don’t do anything. The bridge pickup has been changed to a Seymour Duncan JB. The neck pickup is original.
Overall, it is in good condition, with minor finish swirls, small scratches, and a few blemishes here and there: pretty typical for a guitar that is over 40 years old. It plays great with a smooth neck and solid frets.
The guitar features a 3-piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot inlays, Rock Maple body, and two humbuckers that deliver those classic tones. It still has the original hardware and comes with the original hardshell case.
This is a great chance to own a vintage Firebird that is both rare and practical. Whether you are adding to your collection or looking for a cool guitar to play, this one has plenty of mojo. - Reviews
