The electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and feels like a guitar that you’ve been playing forever.

"The 594 is the best new guitar I've played in years. It has a vintage heart and soul but without the technical limitations that usually come along with an old instrument. What good is an old guitar if you can't get all that feel out of the upper frets, or the intonation is off? To hear that old PAF sound but be able to articulate the notes in a way that only modern manufacturing could allow is so exciting." – John Mayer

  4. USED 2003 PRS Custom 22 Raspberry NAMM Show Artist Package
    $2,500.00

Where do I even start? I suppose with the top, because that's the very first thing you'll notice about this guitar.
The Raspberry finished, Artist Grade Quilted maple top is insane. The figuring is perfectly book matched and so defined with so much depth that the top looks 3D. When I first looked at this guitar, I just couldn't stop staring at the top. Check out the photos and you'll see for yourself.
This guitar was custom built for the Nashville Summer NAMM Show in 2003. It was at this show that PRS first introduced the Raspberry finish, and every guitar displayed in their booth was Raspberry. This guitar was the only Custom 22 Artist Package at the show. The backplate is signed by Paul Reed Smith himself, and states "Nashville NAMM 2003". The pickups have been changed to Dimarzio DP163's, and a push pull tone knob was added. It's a great-sounding, and very versatile set up. The condition is near mint. The frets are in perfect, unplayed condition. There is hardly any signs of play wear, with the only notable cosmetic flaw being a tiny little ding on the top. The neck is straight and true. The action is super fast and easy to play. The guitar plays and sounds awesome. The Raspberry finish was discontinued after only a few years, so this is a very cool, rare, and collectable guitar.
Comes with the original hardshell case, hangtags, and all paperwork.

  9. Paul Reed Smith 20th Anniversary Custom 24 Quilt - 10-Top - Tortoise Shell
    $2,095.00

Here's a super cool 2005 model Paul Reed Smith 20th Anniversary Custom 24 with beautiful quilted maple 10-Top, in Tortoise Shell finish. The Custom 24 is the original PRS...the guitar Paul Reed Smith took to his first tradeshow in 1985. It's been a professional standard and perennial favorite with musicians. What sets this Custom 24 20th Anniversary model apart from others is the special "Birds In Flight" fingerboard inlay and "20th" truss rod cover. Collector owned, it's in 99%, near-mint condition, showing only the slightest surface scratches (so slight you have to look at the guitar in just the right light and at just the right angle to even see it). I've seen brand new guitars hanging in other stores that show more wear than this guitar. No dents or dings. The frets are in perfect, unplayed condition. The neck is straight and true. It's set up beautifully. The action is low, fast, and without buzz. The 25" scale coupled with the ultra comfortable Pattern Thin neck carve, is a breeze to play. Pickups are HFS/Vintage Bass. This one comes with the famous PRS Tremolo bridge, Phase II locking tuners, 5 way rotary switch, tremolo bar, original hang tags, warranty papers, and original case (that shows a few scuffs).

  10. Paul Reed Smith SE Custom 24 7-String #0837
    $499.00

For players looking to cover new ground, the SE Custom 24 7-String offers the feel and tones you’ll need. The addition of a low-B string will help you explore new sonic territory whether you’re playing rock, jazz, or metal.
The SE Custom 24 7-String, PRS Guitars first 7-string production instrument, takes familiar PRS aesthetics and playability to new sonic territory. Using the Custom 24 as a platform, this guitar adds a low-B string to offer increased versatility to the player who wants more tonal range. Whether you’re playing rock, jazz, or metal, this guitar provides extended low-end growl, increased chordal variance, and a greater ability to embellish standard chords.
The SE 7-String features a beveled maple top with flame maple veneer and mahogany back, a 24-fret, 25” scale length maple neck with rosewood fretboard and bird inlays. The electronics package pairs SE HFS and SE Vintage Bass pickups with a volume, push/pull tone, and 3-way blade switch. The SE HFS and SE Vintage pickups were designed to mirror the Maryland-made pickups of the same name (used on the Custom since 1991). Originally meaning Hot, Fat, and Screams, the HFS was the evolution of the original Standard treble pickup. The HFS is a powerful pickup with a balance of aggression, clear highs, strong mid-range, and strong bass. Likewise, the Vintage bass is the evolution of the original Standard bass pickup and has a warm high-mid sound that is excellent for many musical styles.
