  2. PAUL REED SMITH MCCARTY 594 - BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD FINGERBOARD - McCarty Tobacco Sunburst #1850
    $3,685.00

This McCarty 594 features Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. This feature is usually only available on Artist Package models, but is available here for a very limited time.

The McCarty 594 is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once incredibly familiar and effortlessly playable. Whether you are looking for rich, authentic, vintage humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds, the McCarty 594 can seamlessly master both sonic territories thanks to the 58/15 LT pickups and push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. The electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and feels like a guitar that you’ve been playing forever.

"The 594 is the best new guitar I've played in years. It has a vintage heart and soul but without the technical limitations that usually come along with an old instrument. What good is an old guitar if you can't get all that feel out of the upper frets, or the intonation is off? To hear that old PAF sound but be able to articulate the notes in a way that only modern manufacturing could allow is so exciting." – John Mayer

  5. D'Angelico DELUXE KURT ROSENWINKEL SS #0984
    $2,799.00

We have some great jazz guitar teachers here at Martin Music, serious cats, these guys.  Kurt Rosenwinkel is one of our teacher's favorite guitar players.  That's all I need to know, if Joe says this guy is the bomb, then he's the bomb.   We have a D'Angelico DLX SS co-designed with Kurt.  This is an exceptional guitar. with a spruce top, flame maple back and sides, gold hardware, two humbucking pickups, and this is quite novel for a hollow body, but this guitar is not completely hollow, it's more of a semi solid, not quite like a Gibson ES-335 but with a solid block to support the stop tailpiece.  The finish is Honey Burst with gold Grover tuners and ebony knobs.  It's a striking instrument.  It sounds and plays great, this is a serious guitar.  The neck is C-shape, slim and comfortable.  Comes with hard case

Designed in collaboration with one of the world's most renowned jazz guitarists, the Deluxe Kurt Rosenwinkel SS features a spruce top for brightness and a center-block for maximum sustain, easily maintaining its full tone in a band setting. With minimal appointments, the Kurt Rosenwinkel SS features a comfortable slim C-shape neck profile, rosewood fingerboard, and stopbar tailpiece. Its Honey Burst finish is complemented by gold Grover tuners and ebony tone knobs.

  6. PAUL REED SMITH CUSTOM 24 - 10-TOP - FLAME MAPLE NECK/BOARD - BONNI PINK #2524
    $4,230.00

This Custom 24 has been upgraded with a 10-Top, Artist finish (Bonnie Pink), Artist Grade flamed maple neck and fingerboard. Also features a Pattern Thin neck profile.

Do you guys know the story about the PRS Custom finish, Bonni Pink?  Bonni Lloyd was an early PRS employee, one of the first.  She wanted a pink guitar and they guys at PRS made her one.  Word got out and PRS made a few in very limited numbers during the late 1980's. Those guitars are highly sought after and are valuable collectors items.  This one just came in, we had to wait a while to get it, again, it is being made in limited numbers.  This guitar is new, a PRS Custom 24 with flames out the wazoo, a 10 top, bird inlays, and of course, the super cool Bonni Pink finish.  It has a pattern/thin neck and vibrato.  The finish is so cool, it's awesome.  Oh, there may be some that scoff at a pink finish, but remember, Jeff Beck played a pink Charvel.  You think you are cooler than Jeff Beck?  I don't think so.  So, man up and get this great guitar before some other, less insecure person grabs it.  Comes with hard case.

  9. USED 2003 PRS Custom 22 Raspberry NAMM Show Artist Package
    $2,500.00

Where do I even start? I suppose with the top, because that's the very first thing you'll notice about this guitar.
The Raspberry finished, Artist Grade Quilted maple top is insane. The figuring is perfectly book matched and so defined with so much depth that the top looks 3D. When I first looked at this guitar, I just couldn't stop staring at the top. Check out the photos and you'll see for yourself.
This guitar was custom built for the Nashville Summer NAMM Show in 2003. It was at this show that PRS first introduced the Raspberry finish, and every guitar displayed in their booth was Raspberry. This guitar was the only Custom 22 Artist Package at the show. The backplate is signed by Paul Reed Smith himself, and states "Nashville NAMM 2003". The pickups have been changed to Dimarzio DP163's, and a push pull tone knob was added. It's a great-sounding, and very versatile set up. The condition is near mint. The frets are in perfect, unplayed condition. There is hardly any signs of play wear, with the only notable cosmetic flaw being a tiny little ding on the top. The neck is straight and true. The action is super fast and easy to play. The guitar plays and sounds awesome. The Raspberry finish was discontinued after only a few years, so this is a very cool, rare, and collectable guitar.
Comes with the original hardshell case, hangtags, and all paperwork.

  12. USED Fender 1995 Strat Ltd Edition Candy Apple Red w/ Matching Headstock
    $800.00

Does anybody remember "Roll And Roll Hoochie Koo" by Rick Derringer? The album cover was so cool. Rick was playing a red Fender Stratocaster with a matching headstock. I thought that was the coolest Strat ever. We have a Limited Edition 1995 USA Fender Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red with a matching headstock. These matching headstock models were produced for only a short time and are pretty rare. It's a great guitar, and has had some great upgrades: Fender locking tuners, a white pearloid pickguard, and three Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster pickups. We're not sure which CS pickups it has but they sound amazing - a perfect balance of tight lows, focused midrange and smooth top-end sparkle. Everything you want a Strat to be! They also hum cancel in the 2 and 4 position. It has a rosewood fingerboard, and the frets are in great shape, showing only a very slight amount of wear. The body shows wear, nicks, dings and scratches: a typical paint chip out of the neck pocket; an extra hole on the back where someone put a strap button. Overall condition is good and everything is structurally solid. It's great sounding, the neck is straight, and everything works fine. It's a good one, and it has a vintage vibe that I like. Comes with a non-original trem bar and Fender gig bag.
