  1. USED 2006 R.Taylor Style 1 #008 GS Rare Cedar/Mahogany
    $2,995.00

R.Taylor Style 1 serial #008. This is the first R.Taylor we received as a dealer in 2006. It's the earliest serial number we've seen come up for sale too. This is a really good one. Taylor's 514ce model was one of their most popular for many years. And rightfully so, the combination of Mahogany and cedar is fantastic. Imagine the best sounding and playing 514 but on steroids and that's this guitar. It sounds bigger that a 514, is louder, has more sustain, with a higher volume ceiling, and with no loss of tonal balance.
      R. Taylor Guitars was a division of Taylor, the guitars were a step above the custom built Taylor models. Built in a different building from the rest of the Taylor production by a handful of Taylor's very best and most experienced luthier's. While still taking advantage of Taylor's vast resources and precision guitar components, these more experienced luthiers at R. Taylor worked in a small shop environment where they were able to spend more time on each individual guitar, tweaking the bracings if needed, instead of always leaving them exactly the way the CNC machines cut them like a production Taylor guitar.
Some of the major structural differences between an R. Taylor and regular Taylor is rather than using kerfing, R. Taylor used steamed and bent solid linings which involve more labor. This makes the sides far more rigid than traditional construction methods and translates into a lot more power than a similar shaped Taylor. The bridge plate is inset into the top giving it a lower interior profile and more sound transference to the top. The neck is a made out of one piece of mahogany while the standard Taylor uses a two piece neck heel and a headstock with a scarf joint.
In excellent condition. The only blemishes worth mentioning are a center seam separation that extends 1-1/4" below the bridge, and some very light belt buckle scrapes on the back. No other issues or signs of dryness. The frets are near perfect showing only the slightest hints of play. This R. Taylor Style 2 features Cedar Top, Mahogany Back and Sides, Tropical Mahogany Neck, Indian rosewood Body and Neck Binding, 1-3/4" Nut Width, 25" Scale, '65 Top Radius, and an Ameritage Hardshell Case.

  3. 2006 R.Taylor Style 1 GS Rare Old Growth Redwood/Figured Walnut #245
    $4,495.00

In excellent, near mint condition. No dings, no nicks, only a tiny cloud of pick marks that are so slight you have to hold the guitar at just the right angle in just the right light to see. The frets are perfect. A Fishman Ellipse Blend pickup has been professionally installed. There are no issues with this guitar.
This guitar has opened up beautifully over the past 13 years. Warm, thick, and rich trebles from the gorgeous Old Growth Redwood top combined with tight, full, and focused bottom end response of the walnut back and sides make this R. Taylor a phenomenal fingerstyle guitar. Old growth Redwood like this is stronger than cedar giving you the best qualities of cedar but with much more dynamic range. It also gives it more power and projection with a higher volume ceiling, meaning this guitar responds beautifully to a flat pick. You can strum this very hard without the compression and top distortion you would get with a cedar top. Truly the best of both worlds and an incredible combination of woods that would suit any style of playing...This R. Taylor Style 1 features Old Growth Redwood Top, highly figured walnut Back and Sides, Tropical Mahogany Neck, Ebony Body and Neck Binding, 1-3/4" Nut Width, 25" Scale, '65 Top Radius, and an Ameritage Hardshell Case.

  8. Taylor Grand Pacific 717e Builder's Edition - Torrefied Sitka/Indian Rosewood - Wild Honey Burst #9073
    $3,199.00

A Wild Honey Burst top and low-sheen finish heighten the old-soul aesthetic appeal of this Builder’s Edition Grand Pacific, which builds on a long tradition of rosewood/spruce dreadnoughts but breaks new ground with an entirely new Taylor sound. The round-shoulder dreadnought shape, featuring Taylor’s award-winning V-Class bracing, produces warm, seasoned acoustic tone in which individual notes overlap and blend smoothly together, while the low-end power common among dreadnoughts boasts greater clarity here. V-Class brings extra punch and sustain, along with improved intonation and musicality across the entire frequency spectrum. Together with rosewood’s harmonic complexity and the played-in sound of the torrefied spruce top, players can expect rich, luxurious tonal character from top to bottom. It’s a voice comfortably rooted in a traditional sound, yet updated to offer more expressive musical range. As a Builder’s Edition model, the 717 also sports an array of premium, player-friendly features: chamfered body edges, rolled fretboard edges, and a new compound-carve neck profile, whose contours match the natural adjustments in the player’s hand position when moving up and down the fretboard. Even the bridge design was refined to add a more ergonomic feel for the player’s pick hand. Elegantly understated appointments include mother-of-pearl Arrowhead fretboard and peghead inlays, with sapele binding. It all adds up to a Taylor like you’ve never seen, heard or felt before.

    $1,899.00

The Grand Pacific 317e, featuring Taylor's new round-shoulder dreadnought body voiced with their award-winning V-Class bracing, helps usher in a whole new Taylor sound. V-Class bracing, tailored for the Grand Pacific body, dials up the power and sustain, along with improved intonation, making this a versatile tool for jamming with other musicians, playing alongside a vocalist, or embarking on solo adventures. This edition comes equipped with onboard ES2 electronics, and thanks to the clarity of the low-end frequencies, the guitar will be less inclined to feed back in amplified settings, making it a reliable partner for plugged-in applications. Whatever your musical calling, the Grand Pacific 317e will make an inspiring companion.
