The JCM 800 series was introduced in 1981. Although the model 2204 had been in production since 1975, they were reintroduced as JCM800 amplifiers in '81. The JCM800 amplifiers became a staple of 1980s hard rock and heavy metal bands.
These were the second series of Marshalls equipped with a master volume, which allowed for more distortion at lower volumes. The JCM800 is considered a "hot" amplifier because it has more gain stages than comparable amplifiers, and in "lead" mode, in the "high" input, an extra triode provides extra gain to the pre-amplifier, which really added to the highly driven rock sound.
Great sounding amp, timeless design, strong powerful sound!
C-Fox Sonoma series hand built all solid wood concert size guitar with cedar and Indian Rosewood. Charles Fox, founder of the American School of Lutherie, is one of the finest guitar builders in the world. He built guitars under the C Fox brand for a short period in the late 90's and early 2000's. Now he only builds custom guitars that are extremely expensive, and built in very small quantities. This guitar is no case-queen. It was owned, loved, and toured with by a pro musician and it shows. There are nicks, dings, scratches, finish checks, and a stable top crack (the guitar is priced accordingly). Why was this guitar picked up and bought by a pro? Because it sounds amazing. It's an incredibly responsive instrument. Well balanced in all registers. The bass response is big and punchy. Trebles sparkle and resonate for long periods. Midrange is projective and clear. It has huge punch and does not clip even with hard flatpicking. String clarity and separation are immediately noticed. The guitar is not as loud as a dreadnought but close. It has opened up beautifully and sounds very mature. Beautiful design, gorgeous woods, unique looks, and top self parts are combined in this guitar for an incredible instrument.Learn More
