The Lil’ Viper is an ultra-portable 8-watt combo designed by Slash and Magnatone Chief Engineer Obeid Khan to deliver the unmistakable Master Collection voice in a remarkably small format. Built to sound full, bold, and authoritative, it is equally at home in the studio, at home, or backstage before a show. Finished in Slash’s signature Purple Python cosmetics with gold-accented hardware and a backlit Magnatone logo, the Lil’ Viper makes a striking visual statement.

Inside, the Lil’ Viper is built like a true performance amplifier. A single 12AX7 preamp tube and a matched pair of NOS 6AQ5 power tubes deliver 8 watts of push-pull Class AB output through a Magnatone Custom 8-inch ceramic speaker. A High and Low gain switch provides two distinct voicings, ranging from classic, slightly broken-up tones to a more saturated and aggressive response. The tone control is voiced to add high-end clarity while tightening the low end as it is turned up.

PRS Archon speaker cabinets feature a closed back design, delivering punch and tight low end. The Celestion V-Type speaker was chosen for its ability to maintain a balanced tonal signature from the Archon’s exceptional clean channel through classic crunch and modern metal gain. Wrapped in black vinyl and outfitted with British-style knitted weave grill cloth and PRS Signature logo, Archon speaker cabinets have a clean and powerful look. Designed to rival Grissom’s favorite vintage amps, the PRS DGT 15 is rich with character. With all the magic of smaller-wattage vintage tube amps, it is fully applicable in a modern setting thanks to its extensive highly-functional tone-sculpting controls. Starting with a 3-band TMB tone stack, the DGT 15 also includes a 3-position bright switch, boost, reverb, top cut, and presence front-panel controls. The bright switch can be set to on, off, or on except when the boost is engaged – so you can intricately manipulate the amp’s high-end. The Master Volume can be set to be on, off, or on only with the Boost. The tremolo circuit oscillates the power tube bias (old-school) and features speed and depth front panel controls to dial in to the exact preference.

The PRS DGT 1x12 cabinet features a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker so it can handle high-output with vintage tone and style. With warm low-end, rich, vocal midrange, and detailed top-end, it is the perfect pair for the PRS DGT 15 head. The ported back adds expressiveness to the tone, keeping your sound from any boxiness, and the blonde tolex covering with salt & pepper grill cloth and PRS signature logo make for a handsome cabinet as well.
