When Bill Collings first met the brilliant young jazz musician in 2014, the two began a series of in-depth conversations about their respective crafts. Lage's profound insights as a guitarist played a key role in the creation of Collings’ T (Traditional) Series guitars. Through this rare collaboration, which continued right up until Bill Collings' recent passing in July, 2017, the signature OM1 JL has emerged as a highly specialized version of the T-Series, designed with the characteristics in mind that Lage seeks in an instrument.

This OM2H features Collings' "Deep Body". With its deeper body depth, it sounds bigger, bolder, and deeper than a traditional OM. It's a stunning sound! It also features a Torrified Sitka Spruce top, Adirondack Spruce braces, and 1 3/4" nut width.

  Colling's Traditional Series or “T” guitars represent an exciting vintage-inspired tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound, designed and crafted to showcase the most desirable characteristics present in coveted pre-war instruments. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection.

Featuring a beautiful Traditional Satin Dark Sunburst finish, with Aged toner applied to the entire guitar. Collings' “Traditional” build offers a rounder tone with less shimmery highs and a more open, broken-in feel.
