Retaining the classic maple top/mahogany back combination with our classic body shape and an asymmetrical beveled top, this guitar has a resonant, powerful voice. Its versatility comes from its Maryland, USA-wound 85/15 pickups and 5-way blade switch, offering all the same sounds as the flagship Custom 24. Featuring a beautiful Traditional Satin Dark Sunburst finish, with Aged toner applied to the entire guitar. Collings' “Traditional” build offers a rounder tone with less shimmery highs and a more open, broken-in feel. These “T” series guitars represent an exciting vintage-inspired variation on the distinctive Collings sound, designed and crafted to showcase the most desirable characteristics of coveted pre-war instruments. Bracing and tonewoods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection. This is a rare and highly sought-after 1965 Fender Deluxe (non-reverb) model. Unlike the more common Deluxe Reverb, the non-reverb version is special due to its purer signal path, resulting in increased clarity, tighter low end, and a slightly quicker response.
