  This Custom Shop Martin 000-18 Golden Era 1937, built in 2008, is a wonderful take on Martin's classic pre-war 12-fret 000. It has that dry, woody Golden Era tone with great balance and quick response, and it is an incredibly comfortable guitar to play.

  ‘OM’ stands for “Orchestra Model,” but 80 years after this body shape was first designed it has become the most popular 14-fret model with fingerstyle guitar soloists who choose to play on steel strings. The Orchestra Model is a greatly favored shape amongst Goodall's Traditional lineup. It features a smaller, more comfortable to hold body size. Its tone is extremely powerful in the bass and midrange, with an emphasis on a broad warmth without lacking treble. It features a custom, partially scalloped bracing pattern which produces a bit more 'boominess' in the bass and midrange. It is attractively arrayed with a herringbone marquetry rosette and top purfling, and a chevron marquetry backstrip. The square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought is the most popular steel-string acoustic guitar body shape in the world.
