  Goncalo Alves, commonly known as Tigerwood, is an incredibly distinctive lumber species. Its golden-brown to deep red-brown hues are interspersed with blackish-brown streaks, creating the tiger-like streaks that give it its name.

Featuring a Thermo-Cured Adirondack Spruce top. The Orchestra name was given to this model in 1929 in an attempt to entice guitarists in dance orchestras to pick one up and take it to a gig. With the exception of one tiny little ding at the top of the headstock, it is in mint condition. No other wear. Upgraded with a Vine headstock logo, pyramid bridge, signed label, and AAA Sitka Spruce top. Jean Larrivee had a small stash of 20+ year old AAA spruce tops that he felt would be ideal for bluegrass and used them for this limited run. Beautifully made with great attention to detail.
