The square-shouldered 14-fret dreadnought is the most popular steel-string acoustic guitar body shape in the world.   Goncalo Alves, commonly known as Tigerwood, is an incredibly distinctive lumber species. Its golden-brown to deep red-brown hues are interspersed with blackish-brown streaks, creating the tiger-like streaks that give it its name.
