  Mark Tremonti is one of rock's leading guitarists. As the guitarist of Alter Bridge and Creed, he has met extraordinary success and continues to grow as both a guitar player and songwriter. While Creed was on tour in support of their first record, My Own Prison, Mark was contacted by PRS and asked if he would like to try one of their guitars.
  Mark Tremonti began to collaborate with PRS on his dream guitar that would soon become the Mark Tremonti Signature. He needed pickups that were a little more aggressive and could complement his rhythm playing which contains a lot of palm muting. The neck of the guitar needed to accommodate his style, influenced by thrash metal, shred, and traditional blues. PRS met these needs with the Pattern Thin neck carve.

  This Special Semi-Hollow features a Pattern neck carve, and a Charcoal Cherry Burst finish.
  The PRS Special Semi-Hollow offers players a versatile hum/“single”/hum configuration with two PRS 58/15 LT humbuckers and a PRS Narrowfield middle pickup. PRS Narrowfield pickups deliver the bite of a single coil, so they cut through the mix with plenty of clarity and punch – without the hum. Paired with a 5-way blade switch and two mini-toggles that split the 58/15 LT humbuckers, this guitar can handle myriad sounds and styles (with twelve pickup combinations in total). Keith Schexnayder is a local Memphis musician and luthier. Having always been an artist, guitar building is yet another outlet for his creativity. Keith's technical and woodworking background, combined with his strong desire to express himself musically, and his love for the guitar, inspired him to enter the world of lutherie. His instrument building is all about the art of combining musical tone with aesthetic beauty. This is not a parts guitar. Keith carved the neck and body, sprayed the finish, and assembled it himself. This guitar features a light-weight two-piece Louisiana Swamp Ash body, maple neck, and Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Very light at 6 pounds, 14 ounces. This is a great guitar, lovely in appearance, lovely in tone. Great woods, great parts, a great builder...all of this comes together in an outstanding guitar.
