  The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. More than two and half years in the making, the Silver Sky is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once familiar but also newly PRS through and through. This model was based off of Mayer and Smith's favorite elements from 1963 and 1964 vintage instruments, resulting in an idealized version of a vintage single-coil guitar. The attention that was paid to every detail sets this guitar apart.

Sharing all the same elevated performance benefits of Tom Anderson's venerated T-Classic model, the T-Icon also features a much more iconic 3-saddle bridge, with a baseplate design that surrounds the angled single coil-sized bridge pickup. This bridge has a compensated (corrected) saddle design for uncompromisingly accurate intonation and ridiculously in-tune playing - like each and every Anderson guitar ever created. This takes the vintage experience to a whole new level, as accurate intonation not only means more in-tune playing but also much richer and fuller tonality with greater sustain as more sympathetic frequencies harmonize rather than contrast. The G&L ASAT Special just might be the quintessential G&L guitar, viewed by many as Leo's ultimate single-cutaway. The ASAT Special features jumbo single-coil Magnetic Field Design pickups, each with a narrow bobbin aperture for a coil which is shallow yet wide. In this regard, an MFD jumbo single coil is similar to a P-90 or Jazzmaster pickup, yet the MFD principle provides a punchier bottom end and brighter top end sparkling with harmonics. Leo further departed with the past with the addition of his innovative Saddle-Lock bridge which transfers string energy right into the body end-grain for an incredibly resonant instrument. The result is one of the most versatile guitars ever, serving up ballsy twang to searing blues to smooth jazz tones.

  Since the dawn of rock and roll, the snap and response that comes from a bolt-on neck guitar has been an essential part of the mix. These attributes have, in turn, become essential to many players trying to tell their story through music. The CE 24 pairs PRS’s traditional body combination of the mahogany back and maple top with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The neck sports a Pattern Thin carve and satin nitro finish for a natural, addictive feel. To further maximize the guitar’s inherent tone and clarity, the CE 24 features PRS 85/15 pickups, which Paul designed to have remarkable clarity as well as extended high and low end. The electronics consist of a volume and push/pull tone control with 3-way toggle switch for a total of six classic sounds.

Number 33 of only 80 pieces. The 2022 Albert Lee "Ghost in the Shell" spring edition BFR features a trio of Ernie Ball Music Man MM-90 pickups seated in a rich warm sounding Honduran mahogany body.
