The Emperor Standard Guitar comes with a custom set of Seymour Duncan Single-Coil pickups providing the authentic chime, sparkle, and feel that only vintage single coil pickups deliver. Unique to the Emperor Standard Guitar is a pickup configuration that allows for a wider variety of tonal options compared to traditional single-coil-style instruments. This guitar also incorporates a unique stop-tailpiece where a solid brass bar has been inlayed into a fingerboard-matching rosewood shell, providing added mass and sustain.   Carlos Santana's longstanding creative partnership with Paul Reed Smith has done much to shape the destiny of PRS Guitars. Over the years, we have honored this pivotal alliance by offering variations of his signature model instrument. The Santana Retro pays homage to the early "Pre-Factory" guitars Paul built for Carlos in the early 1980's.   The PRS Special Semi-Hollow offers players a versatile hum/“single”/hum configuration with two PRS 58/15 LT humbuckers and a PRS Narrowfield middle pickup. PRS Narrowfield pickups deliver the bite of a single coil, so they cut through the mix with plenty of clarity and punch – without the hum. Paired with a 5-way blade switch and two mini-toggles that split the 58/15 LT humbuckers, this guitar can handle myriad sounds and styles (with twelve pickup combinations in total).
