The SE CE 24 pairs the traditional PRS Custom 24 combination of a maple top, mahogany back, and rosewood fretboard with a bolt-on maple neck.   The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. More than two and half years in the making, the Silver Sky is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once familiar but also newly PRS through and through. This model was based off of Mayer and Smith's favorite elements from 1963 and 1964 vintage instruments, resulting in an idealized version of a vintage single-coil guitar. The attention that was paid to every detail sets this guitar apart.

Here's a 48 year old S.L. Mossman Flint Hills model Rosewood Dreadnought. Made in 1977. Handmade in Winfield, Kansas the Flint Hills is perhaps the most well known model of the Mossman models, featuring a Sitka Spruce top, East Indian Rosewood Back and Sides, Ebony Fingerboard and Bridge, Grover Rotomatic tuners, 25 3/4" inch scale length, and Mossman’s own proprietary bracing.

These pickups bring high-end clarity, low-end power, and an overall aggressive punch that maintains a certain sweetness.

The McCarty Singlecut 594 has been meticulously spec’d to deliver a familiar feel and warm, vintage tone, featuring a bound, 22-fret, 24.594” scale length Pattern Vintage neck, a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain, and 58/15 LT+ treble and bass pickups, which have been through the TCI (tuned capacitance and inductance) process. 58/15 LT+ pickups offer exceptional clarity, focused midrange, and vintage character. The McCarty Singlecut 594 model is anchored by a zinc two-piece stoptail bridge with brass saddles and studs for added resonance and vintage-style tuners.
