  Since the dawn of rock and roll, the snap and response that comes from a bolt-on neck guitar has been an essential part of the mix. These attributes have, in turn, become essential to many players trying to tell their story through music. The CE 24 pairs PRS’s traditional body combination of the mahogany back and maple top with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The neck sports a Pattern Thin carve and satin nitro finish for a natural, addictive feel. To further maximize the guitar’s inherent tone and clarity, the CE 24 features PRS 85/15 pickups, which Paul designed to have remarkable clarity as well as extended high and low end. The electronics consist of a volume and push/pull tone control with 3-way toggle switch for a total of six classic sounds.

Upgraded with 3-ply parchment pickguard, satin light-tint neck finish, and white pearl block inlays. Doheny takes the bolt-on offset-body into new sonic territory with the newly developed Magnetic Field Design jazz pickups. Based on Larrivee's tried and true "X-Brace" design, Jean Larrivee blended a non-symmetrical scalloped lateral cross-bracing pattern with their standard X-Brace. This means maximum strength using the least amount of material. It's a build that allows even further vibration of the soundboard, while still offering a controlled dynamic bass response. Like all Larrivée's, the 40 Series are built in America using only all solid wood and feature upgrades like bone nut and saddle, diamond fingerboard dots, and 18:1 open-back tuners. Jean's revolutionary new bracing design means a robust and unique tone that is sure to appeal to traditional and long-time Larrivée players alike.

It is the culmination of years of research and application from Paul Gagon, the G&L VP Engineering. Their vintage-spec CLF-100 Alnico single coils were developed directly from original Leo Fender prints, and successfully and impeccably capture that sparkle and spank of late 50s single coils.   The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. More than two and half years in the making, the Silver Sky is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once familiar but also newly PRS through and through. This model was based off of Mayer and Smith's favorite elements from 1963 and 1964 vintage instruments, resulting in an idealized version of a vintage single-coil guitar. The attention that was paid to every detail sets this guitar apart.
