Here's a cool guitar. A really cool guitar. A true one of a kind. We are offering a 1981 Mossman Guitar Golden Era model custom made for Bob Shane by Stuart Mossman to commemorate 25 years of the The Kingston Trio. This guitar was a collaborative effort between Bob and Stuart Mossman. Bob personally selected the Brazilian rosewood and spruce top from Mossman's private stash, (Remember the word "stash"...you'll understand in a minute). Bob played this guitar for three years on the road before he retired it. Kingston Trio was the the preeminent folk band in the early sixties and spearheaded the massive, folk boom. These guys are the Beatles of folk music. This is a fantastic guitar and a great piece of American music history.

  In the twilight of the 1960s, SF Bay Area amp repairman to the Stars, Randall Smith, was inspired to start building his own amplifiers after coming to a deep appreciation for the '50s Tweed circuits developed by Leo Fender. He loved their organic sounding voice, powerful controls and the way they smoothly transitioned from clean to clip and back again.

By itself or as a companion to a 1x12 or another 1x15 cabinet, our most popular single speaker format is the 1x15 Ultra-Lite. A little larger footprint (than the 1x12) accommodates the needed internal volume to match the 15” Full Range driver and create this, warm, huge sounding compact cabinet that shines for everything form old-school Blues and R&B to scooped modern Slap and tight, picked Rock styles. Our sweet High Frequency Driver ensures the detail remains intact and imparts an adjustable Hi-Fi character to the sound. By itself, or as a foundation for further coloring with 10s or 12s, the 1x15 anchors the Subway Cabinet Line with its flexibility, warm and accurate performance across the full range, and ease of transport.

The 2x10 is the compact solution for players who prefer the midrange articulation and focus of 10s, but need a smaller option than the classic 4x10. Combining two allows a more portable solution than one heavier quad-box and the ability to take one for rehearsal or small venues and two for gigs with louder bands or in bigger venues. Using the 2x10 in combination with a 1x12 or 1x15 imparts color, articulation and iconic midrange punch along with more volume. Built with all the same woods, aircraft-style bracing and Tri-Port™ porting, the 2x10 Ultra-Lite brings another key voice to the modular approach in compact, lightweight Bass Cabinetry.

Previously owned and in mint condition, this Custom 24 has been upgraded with a 10-Top, Mash Green finish (normally reserved only for Artist Package guitars), Artist Grade flamed maple neck, and Artist Grade flamed maple fingerboard and headstock veneer. Also features a Pattern Thin neck profile.

The Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar. This iconic instrument was the first model that Paul Reed Smith brought to the public at PRS Guitars’ first Winter NAMM show in 1985 and has been a top seller ever since. Played by internationally touring artists, gigging musicians, and aspiring players, the Custom 24 features PRS’s patented Gen III tremolo system and PRS 85/15 pickups with volume and tone controls and a 5-way blade switch. 85/15 pickups were personally designed by Paul Reed Smith to offer remarkable clarity and extended high and low end.

Where do I begin? This stunning instrument is a work of art that also happens to be an incredible guitar. It has a wonderful tone thanks in part to the Aged Tone Adirondack Top. Of course, the Brazilian Rosewood back and sides doesn't hurt either. This is a presentation model, like the beautiful presentation grade guitars and banjos made by the great instrument makers in the early 1900's.
