Featuring a solid Adirondack Spruce top, and solid Mahohany back and sides. The Orchestra name was given to this model in 1929 in an attempt to entice guitarists in dance orchestras to pick one up and take it to a gig. In more recent years, it has become a go-to instrument for finger pickers, due to its sensitive dynamic profile and subtle tonal properties. It provides a more carefully sculpted sound than a big bodied acoustic.

The G&L ASAT Special just might be the quintessential G&L guitar, viewed by many as Leo's ultimate single-cutaway. The ASAT Special features jumbo single-coil Magnetic Field Design pickups, each with a narrow bobbin aperture for a coil which is shallow yet wide. In this regard, an MFD jumbo single coil is similar to a P-90 or Jazzmaster pickup, yet the MFD principle provides a punchier bottom end and brighter top end sparkling with harmonics. Leo further departed with the past with the addition of his innovative Saddle-Lock bridge which transfers string energy right into the body end-grain for an incredibly resonant instrument. The result is one of the most versatile guitars ever, serving up ballsy twang to searing blues to smooth jazz tones. -

Jason Lollar’s fascination with guitar tones can be traced back to the sound of early-‘60s (pre-CBS) Strats. That was the benchmark he aimed for when creating our Sixty-Four Strat pickup. When you hear them, we think you’ll agree he hit the mark! You get prominent midrange and clear top end with a piano-like attack.

Inspired by the early 1950s Fender Broadcaster pickups, the Lollar Special T Series is our most popular Tele pickup, and for good reason! Punchier than our standard J-Bass version, the ‘70s J-Bass pickup also features fatter low-mids and more presence (in the upper-high frequency range). We voiced it to sound like the original ‘70s J-Bass pickups which were positioned closer to the bridge. For the most authentic sound, we recommend using a 1 meg volume pot.
4-string Avg. DC: Neck 7.9k, Bridge 10.4k

The Imperial Humbucker is Lollar's take on the original 1950s P.A.F. pickup. They have designed the Imperial to draw from the long revered qualities of the original P.A.F.s while improving on their frequency balance and giving a slight boost to the bridge pickup’s output.

$205.00Based on lower output PAFs often found in vintage 335s, this pickup boasts a brighter overall tone compared with the standard Lollar Imperial. This results in exceptional definition for any chord voicing and overall great presence for cutting through the mix. You'll also find the bottom strings hold together noticeably longer without distorting than most humbuckers. Learn More

If the traditional double-cutaway bolt-on guitar is your standard, then the G&L Legacy is probably your best bet. It is the culmination of years of research and application from Paul Gagon, the G&L VP Engineering. Their vintage-spec CLF-100 Alnico single coils were developed directly from original Leo Fender prints, and successfully and impeccably capture that sparkle and spank of late 50s single coils. Coupling with the vintage tones is modern crafting, like Leo Fender's PTB (Passive Treble and Bass) system, which functions on all three pickups for dramatically more variety than the vintage setup, and a Dual-Fulcrum Vibrato bridge that allows for maximum stability in bending.
