Salvaged from the ancient Koa forests of the Big Island of Hawaii, the Hawaiian Country Boy’s Koa backs and sides sound as good as they look, offering a rich midrange and a touch of island warmth that will deepen over time. Dana Bourgeois has personally selected each old-growth Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top in this series. Chosen for their bright and responsive tap tones, each one was hand-voiced at Dana’s small workshop in Maine. By combining the warmth of Island Koa with the sparkle of winter spruce, the Touchstone Hawaiian Country Boy has been designed to respond equally well to delicate fingerpicking and lively strumming.

Featuring a beautiful Traditional Satin Dark Sunburst finish, with Aged toner applied to the entire guitar. Collings' “Traditional” build offers a rounder tone with less shimmery highs and a more open, broken-in feel. These “T” series guitars represent an exciting vintage-inspired variation on the distinctive Collings sound, designed and crafted to showcase the most desirable characteristics of coveted pre-war instruments. Bracing and tonewoods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection. Featuring East Indian rosewood back and sides with ivoroid body binding and butt wedge, small brown herringbone top purfling, a “zipper” backstrip, diamonds and squares fingerboard inlays, and a more intricate 2-style rosette.

  The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. More than two and half years in the making, the Silver Sky is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once familiar but also newly PRS through and through. This model was based off of Mayer and Smith's favorite elements from 1963 and 1964 vintage instruments, resulting in an idealized version of a vintage single-coil guitar.
