In good shape for its age with some light wear but nothing major. Made between 1963 and 1966, the Silvertone 1485 is a monster sound machine—120 watts pumping into six 10" speakers with a rated frequency response of 40–20,000 Hz. This was the most powerful tube amp Sears ever offered, and at just under $240 when it was introduced (For perspective, that’s the equivalent of over $2,500 today.), it was also the most expensive. It’s loaded with features: tube-driven reverb and tremolo, ground switch, standby mode, spare 110v outlet, 10 tubes, 5 rectifiers, and the unmistakable stack-style look with a stowaway amp compartment for portability.
This one is in good shape for its age, fully functional. It comes with the footswitch. Jack White’s use of these amps in recent years has helped bring them back into the spotlight...for good reason. The 1485 is pure vintage power.
