  4. Gibson Montana 1941 SJ-100 Vintage Reissue Sunburst

    Regular Price: $3,868.00

    Special Price $2,250.00

Built in Bozeman, Montana and for the moment out of production, the Gibson SJ-100 1941 Reissue recreates the sound and feel of the pre-war Mahogany body jumbo. Handcrafted from solid tone woods, the spruce top and mahogany back and sides produce superb tone, deep bass and projection, with the sophisticated look of hand-sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer. The unique, vintage Super Jumbo bridge is inspired by the originals from 1941 and found on only a few models from that time. The simple terraced pick guard in fire stripe nitrocellulose is a replica of the first SJ-100s from 1939. Equipped with a Baggs Element pickup, the SJ-100 is ready to respond to whatever performance circumstances demand.
The Super Jumbo body style appeared in 1938 and is best known for the J-200 model, with Spruce top and Maple for the back and sides, and often highly decorated beyond the hand-painted pickguard. In 1939, the less expensive and less decorated SJ-100 appeared, with a Spruce top, but with Mahogany for the back and sides and with a much plainer – and thinner – pickguard. The fingerboard and bridge are Mahogany, and the SJ-100 has a largish but much simpler bridge than the J-200’s ‘Moustache’ cut out unit.
By 1943, the advent and demands of war ended production for several years. The SJ-100 was not re-launched until small samples started appearing around 1985, and in 2013 the Gibson Acoustic shop in Bozeman, Montana built a number of fairly accurate reproductions, with L R Baggs Element pickup system added.

  5. Gibson Montana AJ Amber Burst Limited Edition Advanced Jumbo 1-of-50

    Regular Price: $3,870.00

    Special Price $2,390.00

New old stock Limited Edition Gibson AJ Amber Burst Advanced Jumbo acoustic electric guitar. Built in very small numbers, 1 of 50, the Gibson AJ Amberburst is something of a turbo-charged version of its ever-popular Advanced Jumbo model. The guitar is built with an Adirondack red spruce top and rosewood back and sides, and finished with a great looking amber sunburst to its top. Gold Grover open-back tuners bejewel the headstock, and under the hood you’d find a Trance Audio Amulet pickup system. Gibson put a lot of eggs in the basket that is this guitar, and the pay off to a player is great.
With its long-scale neck and rosewood back and sides, the AJ is famous for its volume, power, clarity and balance, and this red spruce-topped version lives up to the reputation. It’s a great flatpicker with plenty of horsepower in reserve and lots of Gibson character. Gibson designed the AJ to compete against Martin's D-28, and it does so very well.
Comes with hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.

  8. PAUL REED SMITH MCCARTY 594 - Artist Upgrades - 10-Top - FLAME MAPLE NECK - SLATE #5406

    Regular Price: $4,496.00

    Special Price $3,653.00

This McCarty 594 features a 10-Top, Flamed maple neck, and Hybrid Hardware (not typically available on non-Artist Package guitars)

The McCarty 594 is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once incredibly familiar and effortlessly playable. Whether you are looking for rich, authentic, vintage humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds, the McCarty 594 can seamlessly master both sonic territories thanks to the 58/15 LT pickups and push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. The electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and feels like a guitar that you’ve been playing forever.

"The 594 is the best new guitar I've played in years. It has a vintage heart and soul but without the technical limitations that usually come along with an old instrument. What good is an old guitar if you can't get all that feel out of the upper frets, or the intonation is off? To hear that old PAF sound but be able to articulate the notes in a way that only modern manufacturing could allow is so exciting." – John Mayer
