Details
The original pickups have been replaced with a pair of Gibson '57 Classic Humbuckers, paired with CTS ArtOfTone matched 5% 300K long-stem pots and NOS paper-in-oil capacitors. The wiring uses vintage-style push-back and braided 22-gauge wire, along with a Switchcraft toggle switch and chrome metal tip. The bridge has been upgraded to a GFS roller saddle bridge, and the guitar has Sperzel locking tuners, and Bigsby American B-12 Art Deco vibrato.
The rest of the hardware has been upgraded as well, including nickel cupcake knobs, a chrome metal truss rod cover, and chrome Grover-style star strap buttons that screw securely into place without requiring a dedicated strap.
There are small scratches and small dings throughout, but nothing excessive or distracting. This is not a collector piece that is meant to sit in a case. This is a player, and it is a really good one.
With the '57 Classics, upgraded electronics, locking tuners, roller bridge, and Bigsby, this Les Paul has been taken a long way from its original Studio configuration. It plays great, sounds great, and stays in tune even when you are working the Bigsby.
It comes with a hardshell case. - Reviews
