This 2002 Gibson Firebird V is in very good condition, especially for a guitar now over 20 years old. The finish is clean with only mild surface scratches and no major dings or issues. The neck is the classic 9-ply mahogany/walnut construction with a slim profile, cream binding, and black side dots. It features a dark rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in excellent shape with almost no wear. The reverse headstock and banjo tuners complete the iconic Firebird look.

Details

Specs include a 1 11/16" nut width and 24.75" scale length. The neck is straight, and the truss rod functions perfectly. The pickups have been upgraded with a Rio Grande Bastard neck (humbucker-sized P-90), and Gibson Burstbucker Pro humbucker bridge. This combination gives the guitar a wide tonal range - from fat, articulate P-90 grind to tight, punchy humbucker drive.
The body features the classic neck-through design with solid mahogany wings, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and stopbar tailpiece. The 3-ply white pickguard with the red Firebird logo is in excellent shape. The guitar weighs 7 lbs 12 oz - amazing for a Firebird! This one is especially resonant too.
A clean, great-playing example of a desirable Firebird reissue, with upgraded pickups and killer tone. Comes with the original manual and hardshell case.
