Check out this awesome 1964 Gretsch 6119, serial number #72004! This is a fantastic find for any vintage guitar lover and a true piece of Beatle-era history.
This guitar is in fair condition. It has been cared for, but played, and shows play and finish wear that is appropriate for its age...it all adds to its vintage charm though. Neck, and neck angle are straight and true. The binding is in great condition. Frets are worn, with many pits and divets. Despite this, the guitar still plays surprisingly well, and sounds fantastic! You will encounter the odd rattle throughout the fingerboard though, from fret divets.
This is a chance to grab a very cool piece of vintage guitar history! Comes with the original grey hardshell case.

Details

The 6119 features a dark mahogany finish, a layered maple body, maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. The fully hollow, but enclosed "Electrotone" body is one of Gretsch’s most popular designs. The top is single bound, while the back remains unbound. This particular finish was favored by Chet Atkins, who preferred it to the “gaudy” orange of his original signature model, the 6120.
The maple neck is fitted with a bound rosewood fingerboard, complete with a zero fret (another Chet requirement) and the half-moon "Neo-Classic" inlay pattern that Gretsch used almost exclusively at that time.
