  Here is a really cool vintage amp that offers the best of both worlds: classic Blackface Fender tone with some upgrades that make it even more useful for today's players.
  This 1966 Fender Bassman head (Serial #A20363) has been fully serviced and modified by Lyle Caldwell of Psionic Audio, one of the most respected amp techs in the business. The first channel has been voiced more like a Marshall, giving it a thicker midrange and more aggressive gain structure while still retaining the touch sensitivity and character that make these old Bassmans so special.

The 500-watt RB-210 is the ideal portable gigging amp. Dual custom 10" Lavoce speakers coupled with a mutable high-frequency horn reproduce a wide range of bass sounds, while classic Ampeg 3-band EQ, Ultra Hi/Ultra Lo switches, and the new Super Grit Technology overdrive circuit enable you to dial in your ideal tone. An effects loop, an auxiliary input, a headphone output, an extension speaker output, and an XLR direct output for connecting to a P.A. or recorder complete the package.

A single 12AX7 preamp tube and a matched pair of NOS 6AQ5 power tubes deliver 8 watts of push-pull Class AB output through a Magnatone Custom 8-inch ceramic speaker. A High and Low gain switch provides two distinct voicings, ranging from classic, slightly broken-up tones to a more saturated and aggressive response. The tone control is voiced to add high-end clarity while tightening the low end as it is turned up.

The Kingston joins Magnatone’s Traditional Collection as a new yet familiar voice designed to be a true go-to workhorse amp. Hand-built and made in the USA, it delivers classic American tone with the unmistakable Magnatone feel, balancing vintage character with modern reliability for stage, studio, and home use.
