This beautifully aged classical guitar is from master luthier Jeronimo Peña Fernadez. Hand-dated in the soundhole at 1973. Featuring a solid Red Cedar top and quatersawn Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, the renowned warmth and balance of this instrument's tone is hard to overstate. This instrument was made at a time when Jerinimo Peña Fernandez was producing between 20 and 25 guitars a year in his workshop. The highly stylized guitars of Fernandez are perhaps most immediately identifiable for their intricate design details and overall original style. He learned this in the course of an apprenticeship in carpentry that began when he was only nine.

Here is a superb sounding and versatile guitar hand built by Linda Manzer in 2003. It's one of those rare guitars which looks as good as it sounds. After hearing the incredible volume and definition of this instrument you'll understand why Manzer guitars are preferred by studio musicians and touring musicians alike. Its voice is well balanced with a full, pure, and rich tone. Like all Manzer instruments, this model is precisely adjusted for even playability all the way up the neck.

As pleasing as this guitar is to the ear it's just as pleasing to the eye. With Canadian animals inlaid across the fretboard and Manzer's trademark wood-and-Abalone rosette, it makes the business of making music even more enjoyable. For the back and sides, Linda used some of the finest Indian Rosewood we've ever seen, bent into her tradmarked Manzer Wedge shape for playing comfort, and paired it with a German Spruce top that has striking contrasts of color across its medullary rays. As you'd expect, the resulting voice is equally at home with a delicate attack or played with gusto, offering a well-balanced tone in all applications that is chock full of delightful overtones and articulate warmth. -

Here's a cool guitar. A really cool guitar. A true one of a kind. We are offering a 1981 Mossman Guitar Golden Era model custom made for Bob Shane by Stuart Mossman to commemorate 25 years of the The Kingston Trio. This guitar was a collaborative effort between Bob and Stuart Mossman. Bob personally selected the Brazilian rosewood and spruce top from Mossman's private stash, (Remember the word "stash"...you'll understand in a minute). Bob played this guitar for three years on the road before he retired it. Kingston Trio was the the preeminent folk band in the early sixties and spearheaded the massive, folk boom. These guys are the Beatles of folk music. This is a fantastic guitar and a great piece of American music history.

There is a video on Youtube of Roy Smeck playing the ukulele, that is the most awesome thing in the world. He plays it to death, it is mind boggling. You should check it out. Here we have a Silvertone Baritone Uke made by the Harmony Company in the 1950's. Sear's brand name was Silvertone, and they contracted guitar companies to build instruments for them. This was built in Chicago at the Harmony factory. It shows some wear, the main problem is the binding is deteriorating. It can be replaced or you can play it as is. It plays well, the frets are good and the action is fine. There aren't any cracks or other problems. It has a good looking non-original tweed hard case. The top portion of the case looks like it was partially crushed but still functions and protects the instrument.
