  We are pleased to offer this 1979 Benedetto Limelite Archtop, Serial #7181, built by Bob Benedetto for guitarist, composer, and recording artist Ted Shumate.
  This 16" x 3" acoustic archtop features a stunning carved birdseye maple body, a 24-1/2" scale length, and a floating DeArmond Rhythm Chief #1100 pickup. Handcrafted by Bob Benedetto, the guitar reflects the exceptional attention to detail and workmanship that characterized his early instruments.

This versatile Grand Auditorium features back and sides of solid sapele paired with a mahogany top, with Taylor's V-Class bracing inside. All together, it adds up to a woody, warm midrange voice with exceptional volume, sustain and fundamental focus, with controlled overtones and a touch of natural compression from the mahogany top that smooths out an aggressive attack.

Lage's profound insights as a guitarist played a key role in the creation of Collings’ T (Traditional) Series guitars.   Here is a gorgeous 2006 Taylor T5-C1 Custom in excellent condition. This is a really clean example showing only the slightest signs of use. The only notable cosmetic wear is a small chip along the back edge of the lower bout.
  This one has an incredible highly quilted maple top with a natural finish. The figuring is truly exceptional - lots of 3-D depth and movement. Taylor no longer offers quilted maple tops like this on the T5 line.

It features a custom, partially scalloped bracing pattern which produces a bit more 'boominess' in the bass and midrange. It is attractively arrayed with a herringbone marquetry rosette and top purfling, and a chevron marquetry backstrip. It has been designed especially with the flatpicker and the bluegrass player in mind.
