  The brainchild of Sarah Tyler, the 35th Anniversary Studio Elite commemorates the birth year of the Studio Elite with Jim's iconic headstock design: 1987. This year marks a pivotal moment when Jim transitioned to full-time guitar building, leaving behind mods and repairs for good. With the guitar turning 35 years old in 2022, it was only fitting to celebrate its rich history.
  To honor this milestone, every aspect of the guitar reflects California craftsmanship and tones, paying homage to the early Tylers made with Mamywo. The guitar features lead/rhythm circuits with mid-boost preamps, reminiscent of those classic models. Additionally, to infuse a touch of modernity, Tyler incorporated the Stingray 500 pickups with the new cancelling coil circuit.

Formerly called “ESP Standard”, all ESP E-II instruments are created at our ESP factory in Tokyo, Japan, and are designed for professional players who accept no compromises in tone, feel, or reliability for their guitars and basses. The E-II Eclipse Full Thickness is exactly as the name implies: a body with traditionally thick design. This guitar offers set-thru construction, using a mahogany body with flamed maple top that looks amazing in Tobacco Sunburst finish, complemented by single ply creme binding. The E-II Eclipse Full Thickness also features a mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard that includes ESP flag inlays, and a satin finish on the back for super smooth playability. Premier components include Gotoh locking tuners, a Gotoh TOM bridge and tailpiece, a bone nut, ESP strap locks, and a set of Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic Humbucker pickups with push-pull controls to activate three different voicings. The PRS SE Standard 24-08 is a mahogany-body workhorse guitar with powerful humbucking and true single-coil tones in one instrument. Its PRS TCI “S” pickups are paired with a 3-way toggle switch and two mini-toggle coil split switches that individually split the humbuckers into true single coils for a total of eight pickup configurations. Based on the McCarty platform, the DGT model has been a constant favorite since its introduction in 2007, thanks to Grissom’s deep knowledge of vintage guitars and his painstaking attention to detail. The instrument is designed with two discrete volume controls (magnetics and piezo) and output jacks (mix/piezo and magnetics). Players can plug into the “Mix/Piezo” jack and use the individual volume controls to blend the 58/15 “S” pickups with the piezo’s acoustic tones. Alternatively, players can plug into the jacks separately, so the guitar can run magnetic pickups into an amp and run the piezo through an acoustic amp or DI into the soundboard. When using the magnetic output jack in isolation, the piezo battery is bypassed completely, acting as a failsafe (in this scenario, the magnetic pickups still work even if the piezo battery has run out of juice). This is the most versatile SE instrument in the Series nearly twenty-year history.
