  The PRS SE DGT (David Grissom Trem) brings David Grissom’s signature model to the SE Series for the first time. Based on the McCarty platform, the DGT model has been a constant favorite since its introduction in 2007, thanks to Grissom’s deep knowledge of vintage guitars and his painstaking attention to detail. Every feature on the SE DGT has been considered from the neck shape to the fret choice and dressing, from the colors to the pickups and electronics layout.

The torrefied top, decked out with a tobacco sunburst, yields a sweet, played-in character, while our tone-enhancing C-Class bracing adds more volume, sustain and low-end presence. Lakland 55-94 Deluxe 5 String Bass in Cherry Sunburst finish over a gorgeous highly quilted maple top. One of the most comfortable basses you'll ever pick up. USA made in 2001. It is all-original, with Bartolini pickups and preamp. Collector owned, in NEAR MINT condition with no play wear. It could easily pass for brand new, and still has the protective plastic on the back electronics cover! The frets are in perfect condition. The neck is straight and true. Birds-eye maple quarter-sawn neck with graphite reinforcement bars neck. Lakland 5-string basses feature a B-string that is tight, well defined and feels like a natural extension of the instrument accomplished by combining a 35" scale with the solid anchoring of the string through the body design. It has high quality hipshot ultralight machines. The controls are active Cut and Boost: Bass, Midrange, Treble knobs. Panning-style Pickup Blend Control knob. Master Volume (pull for preamp bypass). This bass has nice balance, great acoustic resonance, and incredible sustain. Light-weight too at only 8 pounds 14 ounces. Just professionally set up it is ready to go. Now boasting a newly-designed LR Baggs/PRS Piezo system, the SE Hollowbody II Piezo provides musicians with the versatility of wielding both acoustic and electric tones in one instrument. The instrument is designed with two discrete volume controls (magnetics and piezo) and output jacks (mix/piezo and magnetics). Players can plug into the “Mix/Piezo” jack and use the individual volume controls to blend the 58/15 “S” pickups with the piezo’s acoustic tones. Alternatively, players can plug into the jacks separately, so the guitar can run magnetic pickups into an amp and run the piezo through an acoustic amp or DI into the soundboard. When using the magnetic output jack in isolation, the piezo battery is bypassed completely, acting as a failsafe (in this scenario, the magnetic pickups still work even if the piezo battery has run out of juice). This is the most versatile SE instrument in the Series nearly twenty-year history.

  The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. More than two and half years in the making, the Silver Sky is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once familiar but also newly PRS through and through. This model was based off of Mayer and Smith's favorite elements from 1963 and 1964 vintage instruments, resulting in an idealized version of a vintage single-coil guitar. The attention that was paid to every detail sets this guitar apart.
