Built on the tried-and-true foundation of a mahogany back and neck with artist grade maple top, the 40th Anniversary Custom 24 boasts a retro violin top carve, PRS “Old School” birds with outlines, and PRS “Pre-Factory” headstock eagle, all of which pay homage to early PRS guitars. Larrivee's Traditional Series was created with two things in mind: Create an instrument with traditional 'vintage' features like a flat-top headstock, hand-carved volute, and diamond inlays; but at the same time maintain the unique tonal balance of the standard Larrivée symmetrical parabolic bracing system. An enlarged soundhole allows significantly greater mid-range punch, emphasizing the low end, and increasing overall volume.
