This bass has some early features like the passive active light, control knob positioning, active/passive switch. Collector owned it's been meticulously maintained and is in excellent condition. It is exceptionally clean for its age. It has obviously had little play time, with very minor signs of use. Just professionally set up, it is ready to go.

$3,500.00Lakland 55-94 Deluxe 5 String Bass in Cherry Sunburst finish over a gorgeous highly quilted maple top. One of the most comfortable basses you'll ever pick up. USA made in 2001. It is all-original, with Bartolini pickups and preamp. Collector owned, in NEAR MINT condition with no play wear. It could easily pass for brand new, and still has the protective plastic on the back electronics cover! The frets are in perfect condition. The neck is straight and true. Birds-eye maple quarter-sawn neck with graphite reinforcement bars neck. Lakland 5-string basses feature a B-string that is tight, well defined and feels like a natural extension of the instrument accomplished by combining a 35" scale with the solid anchoring of the string through the body design. It has high quality hipshot ultralight machines. The controls are active Cut and Boost: Bass, Midrange, Treble knobs. Panning-style Pickup Blend Control knob. Master Volume (pull for preamp bypass). This bass has nice balance, great acoustic resonance, and incredible sustain. Light-weight too at only 8 pounds 14 ounces. Just professionally set up it is ready to go. The Lakland custom hardshell case is included.
