  2. Olson James Taylor Signature Model JTSM Series I #4 of 80
    $21,000.00

James Taylor, that's a pretty iconic name. I had a girlfriend that was in love with him around 1970. Needless to say, I wasn't too fond of the boy. The girlfriend is now my wife. She still likes him, and I have since grown to like him myself. What can I say, I was a jealous fool. Here we have an Olson James Taylor made in 2002. This guitar is an extremely rare and extremely fine instrument. It's hard to know where to begin. First of all, it's the 4th built out a limited edition of 80. Olson has sold them all, there won't be anymore. It is signed by James Taylor and the builder, James Olson. This is the pinnacle of a great builder's art. It sounds so good, plays so flawlessly, and is an absolute gem on an instrument. I see this guitar as a prime collectible: one that can only appreciate in value with the passage of time. In the meantime, you get to enjoy and play one of the finest acoustic guitars on the planet. This is a used instrument, showing very light wear. Overall, the condition is excellent. The frets are perfect, and it plays like a dream. Folks, this is one fine guitar.

  3. USED Taylor 2004 655-CE 12-String Maple Jumbo Acoustic Electric
    $1,750.00

Man, I love a 12 String. It's really hard not to. All the British Invasion stuff, The Byrds, Leo Kottke, all that music, it just knocked me out. We have a good one here, a 2004 Taylor 655-CE.  It's near mint, with beautiful, flamed maple back and sides, gold plated tuners, and the Taylor Expression pickup system. The action is perfect, low and without buzz. The neck is straight and true, and the frets show only the slightest hints of ever being played. It plays like a dream, stays in tune, and it sounds great. This is a loud guitar. Big and punchy with nice balanced tone. It's as good as it gets if you're looking for a 12 string.  Comes with original hardshell Taylor case.

  5. G&L Doheny - Old School Tobacco Sunburst #1029
    $2,215.00 Click for price

This Doheny has been upgraded with Tortoise Shell Pickguard and Vintage Satin Tint neck finish.

Inspired by the classic surf sound born in Southern California, the new G&L Doheny takes its name from the iconic beach in the heart of Orange County where 60's surf pioneers became legends. Since those halcyon days, both music and surfing have evolved far beyond their roots, and so has the performance of the gear.
Doheny takes the bolt-on offset-body into new sonic territory with newly developed Magnetic Field Design jazz pickups, the first on any production G&L. Naturally, these new pickups will invite comparison to Leo’s jumbo MFD ASAT Special pickups, given they employ a narrow bobbin aperture and broad coil splay. But Doheny's MFD pickups are more about jangle than twang, just as they should be for a guitar like this. With a classic jazz bobbin aperture wrapped with traditional Formvar wire, these pickups just might be the approach Leo would have taken had he been with us a few years longer.
So what’s it like? The sound is rich in harmonics yet surprisingly full, the result of carefully researching and applying Leo's creative work across the decades. The Doheny pickups deliver the experience fans have hoped for, with their flexibility maximized by the PTB tone system that allows echoes of yesteryear while delivering more output and range for today’s music. Add in Leo's finest vibrato for enhanced tuning stability and improved sustain, and the results are astounding.

  9. USED Modulus VJ-4 Jazz Bass 2001 Sunburst
    $1,800.00

If you like dead spots on a bass, then sadly, this is not the bass for you. This bass has no dead spots, and never will. Sustains for days and plays like a dream. We are offering a 2001 Modulus VJ4 four-string bass. This is a monster, pure and simple. It has Bartolini pickups, a Fender Jazz Bass style body, Jazz bass style wiring. It sounds great...really, that's no hype. If you're a stickler for intonation and tuning, you will be so happy. It's in great condition. The frets have no indentations and show only the very slightest hints of wear. The body is in great condition showing minor surface wear. The sunburst finish is gorgeous. This a serious bass. Phil Lesh of the Dead played Modulus, as did their guitar player, Bob Weir. It's the bomb. Modulus is no longer in business - meaning to me, this bass has the potential to become collectible, and with any luck, go up in value. Comes with original, hard case.

  10. Vintage 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass
    $2,400.00

The seventies were a great time for bass players. They started to come into their own around then: not just playing the bottom-end, but exploring tonal areas previously reserved for guitar players. Remember Chris Squire of Yes? He changed the world for bass players with his Rickenbacker 4001 and Rotosound strings (and of course, a pick). That sound defined an era. Here we have a 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 Bass in natural finish. This is a really cool Rick bass with fairly minimal wear. The frets are fine, everything works like it's supposed to. The bridge has been changed, but we have the original bridge that comes with. The previous owner was told the newer one would sound better, but he said he couldn't tell any difference. The original pickup cover and nut are also included inside the case. There is one area of wear by the input jack, but overall the condition is excellent. It has the original case which is in rough condition, missing some of tolex on the front.

  12. USED Mesa Boogie M6 Carbine Rackmount Bass Head
    $750.00

Mesa Boogie M6 Carbine bass head. USA made. In excellent condition. Has lived its entire life inside a rackcase and shows minor wear from being taken in and out of its case. In perfect working condition. Comes with power cable. Footswitch is not included...not a big deal as the footswitch only turns the EQ on and off and mutes the output. You'll always want this EQ turned on! This amp sounds amazing! I can't think of any gig that it couldn't do.
