$1,895.00This 2001 Gibson ES-135 model was built right here in our hometown of Memphis, TN. It is a rare example with great provenance, and a cool Blue Burst finish. Originally owned by a former Gibson manager, this guitar was part of a small and unusual production run. Gibson temporarily ran out of Chromite (their name for balsa wood normally used for ES-135 center blocks), and to keep production moving, they built only 27 guitars with a solid maple center block. This is one of those rare pieces, offering a slightly different tonal response - tighter, more focused, and with a bit more punch compared to the traditional Chromite block. Think BIG ES-335 tone.
