  2. *SOLD* Sadowsky NYC S-Style '59 Burst #7337
    $5,400.00

This is a real jewel. It leaves me breathless, which I'm not complaining about. At my age, anything that gets me breathless is cool. Check out this spectacular Sadowsky NYC S-Style guitar. Hand built in Sadowsky's New York City workshop. Decades of experience go into every one of their instruments, and it shows. This guitar features an Alder body, and a beautiful quilted maple top that's drop-dead gorgeous. The top is mesmerizing. Don't look at it two long, you might not come back. The neck is maple with a Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is very cool looking. If you didn't know better, you'd think it was highly figured Brazilian rosewood. If you are of a mind to, you can get a nice Lemur monkey from Madagascar to go with this guitar...that would be cool. I wanted to offer a free Lemur with the purchase of this guitar, but Eric (the owner) thought that might be problematic. It is a beautiful 59 Burst finish, and the back (I love this) is a matching sunburst as well. There is a Sadowsky humbucker in the front and lead position, and a Sadowsky single coil in the middle. The neck joint is a work of art: it joins so perfectly. The vibrato is nice and smooth. Of course, it sounds and plays great. With this combination of pickups, you can pretty much do anything on this guitar. The neck feels great, with a comfortable profile. Comes with very nice hard case. A great sounding, great playing, beautiful instrument. What are you waiting on?

  7. G&L ASAT Special - Tobacco Sunburst #5232
    $549.00

The G&L ASAT Special just might be the quintessential G&L guitar, viewed by many as Leo’s ultimate single-cutaway. It features jumbo single-coil Magnetic Field Design pickups, each with a narrow bobbin aperture for a coil which is shallow yet wide. In this regard, an MFD jumbo single coil is similar to a P-90 or Jazzmaster pickup, yet the MFD principle provides a punchier bottom end and brighter top end sparkling with harmonics. Leo further departed with the past with the addition of his innovative Saddle-Lock bridge which transfers string energy right into the body end-grain for an incredibly resonant instrument. The result is one of the most versatile guitars ever, serving up ballsy twang to searing blues to smooth jazz tones.

The Tribute Series ASAT Special brings the magic of Leo’s own reinterpretation of the single-cutaway bolt-on guitar, all at a price attainable for every working musician. Once you play a G&L Tribute Series, you’ll never look back.

  9. Suhr Limited Edition Finish Over Finish Classic Antique - Black over 3-Tone Burst #7A5L
    $4,065.00 Click for price

Limited to only 200 instruments worldwide. The Limited Edition Finish Over Finish Classic Antique was inspired by the sought after well-weathered paint jobs
found on vintage instruments of an era gone by.

Each Finish Over Finish Classic Antique is accurately painted to recreate these unique finishes by applying a solid thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish over a 3-tone burst, and then carefully aged to expose the two distinct finishes.

According to popular belief, there are two opinions of how these finishes actually originated. The first idea is that a solid color was applied to conceal a finish that was ether damaged or flawed during the production process. The second is that since sunburst was standard on instruments made during that era, the factory would apply a secondary top coat to the original finish whenever a customer requested a custom color.

  11. Paul Reed Smith McCarty 594 - 10-Top - Brazilian Board - Purple Mist #1023
    $4,300.00

This McCarty 594 features Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and a Purple Mist finish. These features are usually only available on Artist Package models, but are being made a available for a very limited time.

The McCarty 594 is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once incredibly familiar and effortlessly playable. Whether you are looking for rich, authentic, vintage humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds, the McCarty 594 can seamlessly master both sonic territories thanks to the 58/15 LT pickups and push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. The electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and feels like a guitar that you’ve been playing forever.

"The 594 is the best new guitar I've played in years. It has a vintage heart and soul but without the technical limitations that usually come along with an old instrument. What good is an old guitar if you can't get all that feel out of the upper frets, or the intonation is off? To hear that old PAF sound but be able to articulate the notes in a way that only modern manufacturing could allow is so exciting." – John Mayer
